Bespoke Tailoring & Cutting Short Course

Course Overview

This immersive 5-month program offers a hands-on introduction to the artistry and precision of bespoke tailoring. Designed for those eager to enter the world of fine tailoring or refine their skills, this course takes students from the absolute foundations through to the completion of a hand-finished bespoke trouser and waistcoat.

Students will learn traditional techniques taught on Savile Row, including precise hand-sewing methods, professional pattern drafting and body figurations, and full garment construction.

This course reflects the highest standards of craftsmanship and prepares students for further training or client commissions.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Identify and demonstrate essential hand-sewing techniques.

• Take accurate body measurements and draft bespoke trousers, waistcoats and Jackets with direct measurements.

• Draft full scale patterns.

• Cut and prepare cloth using traditional practices.

• Diagnose and correct fit issues during fittings for trousers and waistcoats.

• Create a master pattern.

• Construct a fully finished bespoke trouser and waistcoat using SRBA methods.

• Present a basic professional portfolio showcasing their work and process.

• Foundation and Hand-sewing skills, Pattern Drafting, Trouser Making, Waistcoat Making.

Duration: 5 Months
Location: 9-10 First Floor, Savile Row, London
Next Intake: September 8th 2025 - February 13th 2026. (Christmas and New Year Holiday 22nd Dec. - Jan 1st)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 09:30– 16:30 (Friday Independent study)
Prerequisites: None – open to all skill levels
Certificate Awarded Upon Completion
